How should I use Biquin Durules?
For treatment of malaria, the average recommended daily adult dose of Biquin Durules is 600 mg three times daily, taken after meals, for three to seven days. Children's Biquin Durules doses are calculated according to body weight.
For treatment of nighttime leg cramps, the recommended dose of Biquin Durules is 200 mg to 300 mg at bedtime. If this dose does not completely prevent the leg cramps, your doctor may prescribe another dose to be taken immediately after the evening meal. If the leg cramps go away for several nights, Biquin Durules should be stopped to determine if it is still needed.
Many things can affect the dose of Biquin Durules medication that a person needs, such as body weight, other medical conditions, and other medications. If your doctor has recommended a Biquin Durules dose or dosing schedule different from the ones listed here, do not change the way that you are using Biquin Durules without consulting your doctor.
It is important to take Biquin Durules regularly and to follow your doctor's instructions exactly. If a dose of Biquin Durules is missed, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next Biquin Durules dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Never double doses.
