CERUMENEX DESCRIPTION

Cerumenex is a ceruminolytic agent used to soften and remove earwax.

Cerumenex Directions:
Follow the directions for using Cerumenex provided by your doctor. TO USE EAR DROPS: lie down or tilt your head so that the affected ear faces up. For adults: gently pull the earlobe up and back to straighten the ear canal. For children: gently pull the earlobe down and back to straighten the ear canal. Drop the medicine into the ear canal. Keep the ear facing up for several minutes so the medicine can run to the bottom of the ear canal. If you have difficulty keeping the medicine in your ear, ask your doctor about using a clean cotton plug in your ear. Allow solution to remain in the ear for 15 to 30 minutes. Remove cotton and gently flush ear with lukewarm water using a soft rubber ear syringe. IF THE FIRST USE of Cerumenex does not remove the earwax, you may repeat the procedure one time. IF Cerumenex ACCIDENTALLY SPILLS ON YOUR SKIN, wash it off immediately with soap and water. To prevent germs from entering the medicine, do not touch the applicator to any surface including the ear. Keep the container tightly closed. STORE Cerumenex at room temperature, away from heat and light.

Cerumenex Ingredient
Chemical Name: TROLAMINE (TROLE-a-meen)

Cerumenex Caution
DO NOT USE Cerumenex MORE OFTEN than prescribed. DO NOT LEAVE Cerumenex in the ear for more than 30 minutes. DO NOT INSERT OBJECTS INTO THE EAR CANAL in an attempt to remove earwax. This may result in a puncture wound and permanent damage to the eardrum. IF EARWAX IS NOT REMOVED after using Cerumenex, see your doctor. FOR WOMEN: IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using Cerumenex during pregnancy. IT IS UNKNOWN IF Cerumenex IS EXCRETED in breast milk. IF YOU ARE OR WILL BE BREAST-FEEDING while you are using Cerumenex, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
