MIDAMOR DESCRIPTION

Midamor (Amiloride)

Midamor is manufactured by Merck Frosst Ltd.

How does Midamor work? What will Midamor for me?

Midamor is a potassium-sparing diuretic (water-pill) that is used alone or in combination with a potassium-depleting diuretic (such as hydrochlorothiazide) to lower high blood pressure. It is also used to decrease edema (fluid retention) that occurs with congestive heart failure and disorders of the liver. Diuretics work by making the body lose excess water and salt. Midamor is called a potassium-sparing diuretic because it does not cause potassium to be lost from the body.

Your doctor may choose to use Midamor for other conditions not listed here. If you're unsure why you are taking Midamor, contact your doctor.

Where can I order Midamor from? Can I buy Midamor at Canadian Prices?

Yes, if you are from the U.S. then you can buy Midamor at Canadian prices. Currently we will only accept an order for Midamor from U.S. and Canadian residents. Both U.S. and Canadian residents require a prescription to purchase Midamor and when you order Midamor it will be delivered with express shipping.

How should I use Midamor?

The recommended Midamor adult dose of amiloride is 5 mg to 20 mg daily (one to four tablets) in one or two divided doses. Midamor can be taken with or without food, but taking the drug with food can reduce the risk of upset stomach.

Many things can affect the dose of Midamor that a person needs, such as body weight, other medical conditions, and other medications. If your doctor has recommended a Midamor dose different from the ones listed here, do not change the way that you are taking Midamor without consulting your doctor.

It is very important that Midamor be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible and continue on with your regular schedule. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue on with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double doses.
