Adults and Children 12 Years of Age and Older:
Vaginal Insert - With the applicator place the vaginal insert into the vagina at bedtime. Throw applicator away after use.
External Cream - Squeeze a small amount of cream onto your fingertip. Apply the cream onto the itchy, irritated skin outside the vagina. Use 2 times daily for up to 7 days, as needed.
Children Under 12 Years of Age: Ask a doctor.
Store at 20-25 degrees C - 68-77 degrees.

Ask a doctor before use if you have
1. Vaginal itching and discomfort for the first time
2. Symptoms that return within 2 months. You could be pregnant, or have a serious underlying medical cause for your symptoms, including diabetes or a weakened immune system (which may be due to HIV - the virus that causes AIDS)
When using this product:
Do not use tampons, douches, spermicides, or other vaginal products
Do not use condoms, or diaphragms, as this product may damage them and they may not prevent sexually transmitted disease or pregnancy
Do not have vaginal intercourse
Wait 3 days after treatment to resume using condoms or a diaphragm
Stop use and ask a doctor if: symptoms do not get better in 3 days and
symptoms last more than 7 days. You may have a condition other than a yeast infection or you get a rash, fever, abdominal pain, or a foul-smelling vaginal discharge.
If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use.
Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

If you have had a doctor diagnose a vaginal yeast infection before and have the same symptoms now, use Monistat-3 as directed for 3 consecutive days. Do not use if you have abdominal pain, fever, or foul-smelling discharge, and contact your doctor immediately. If your infection isn't gone in three days, you may have a condition other than a yeast infection or you may need to use more medication. Consult your doctor. If your symptoms return within two months or if you think you have been expose to the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) that causes Aids, consult your doctor immediately. Recurring infections may be a sign of pregnancy or a serious condition, such as AIDS or diabetes.

MONISTAT® 7 (miconazole nitrate) is intended to be used in 7 doses over the course of 7 consecutive days. Even with all of the conveniences of shorter duration treatments, there are still good reasons to consider a longer duration treatment such as MONISTAT® 7 (miconazole nitrate). It can take up to 7 days from the time therapy is initiated for a yeast infection to be completely cured. Many doctors recommend 7 days of therapy to ensure that medication is being applied to the infected area throughout the healing process.
