OTRIVIN NASAL DROPS DESCRIPTION

Otrivin Nasal Drops

Otrivin Decongestant Nasal drops are made for fast, long-lasting relief of nasal congestion due to colds, sinusitis and allergies.

What should my health care professional know before I use Otrivin?

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:
•diabetes
•glaucoma or family history of glaucoma
•heart disease
•thyroid disease
•high blood pressure
•prostate problems

How should I take Otrivin?

Always follow the directions on the bottle for Otrivin, and do not use Otrivin for more than 3 days in a row or use more frequently than directed unless instructed by your doctor. After blowing your nose and removing the cap, drop the liquid once inside each nostril with your head upright while sniffing.

The recommended dosage is 2 or 3 drops in each nostril no more often than every 8 to 10 hours. Wash your hands after applying Otrivin, wipe the nozzle, and replace the cap. Blow your nose 3—5 minutes after using. Do not share this product with others. Sharing can spread your infection. For children under 12, give only the pediatric drops, using the dropper provided. For children under 2, consult your doctor.

What if I miss a Otrivin dose?
Xylometazoline is used to treat symptoms of nasal stuffiness. You may not need to take a dose every 8—10 hours. Do not take double or extra doses. Do not use for more than three days in a row.
