Caution
Some medicines or medical conditions may interact with this medicine. INFORM YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. Use caution taking rosuvastatin with medicines called fibrates such as gemfibrozil or fenofibrate, high-doses of niacin, or cyclosporine because serious side effects such as muscle injury could occur. ADDITIONAL MONITORING OF YOUR DOSE OR CONDITION may be needed if you are taking antacids, birth control pills, cholestyramine, cimetidine, colestipol, ketoconazole, spironolactone, or warfarin. DO NOT START OR STOP any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding. USE OF THIS MEDICINE IS NOT RECOMMENDED if you have active liver disease. ADDITIONAL MONITORING OF YOUR DOSE OR CONDITION may be needed if you have a history of heart disease, liver disease, kidney disease, low thyroid disease, uncontrolled seizures, recent major surgery, recent trauma, recent major illness, alcohol use, or allergies to other "statin" or cholesterol-lowering medicines.
