Use ONETOUCH SURESTEP Glucose Control Solution to check if the ONETOUCH® SURESTEP® meter and ONETOUCH® SURESTEP® test strips are working together properly. A control solution test is performed exactly like a blood test except that control solution is used as a sample instead of your blood.This control solution is a liquid with a known amount of glucose in it. ONETOUCH® SURESTEP® Glucose Control Solution is NOT for use as a cleaning solution.

Sure Step Directions:
When to do a control solution test.
 Before testing your blood for the first time.
 Every time you open a new bottle of test strips.
 If you drop the meter.
 To check that the meter and test strips are working together properly.
 If your results do not reflect how you feel.
 After you clean the meter.
If the system is working together properly and you follow the testing steps correctly, you should get results within the expected range. Do not use the system to test your blood until you have received a control solution test result within the expected range printed on the test strip bottle label.

Sure Step Caution
Control Solution Storage and Handling:
Discard 3 months after opening. Write the discard date on vial.
Do not use if expiration date has passed.
Store at temperatures under 30°C (86°F).
Do not refrigerate.
