Xylocaine is a local anesthetic used to decrease pain and discomfort resulting from urinary tract procedures or the placement of endotracheal (airway) tubes. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Xylocaine Directions:
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. This medicine is usually applied at your doctor's office, hospital, or a clinic. This medicine is sometimes used at home. If you are using this medicine at home, a health care professional will provide detailed instructions for its appropriate use. Ask any questions that you may have about this medicine. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light. DISCARD THE UNUSED PORTION of this medicine after the initial use, unless otherwise directed.

LIDOCAINE HYDROCHLORIDE 20 MG / ML

Caution
THIS MEDICINE WILL CAUSE NUMBNESS wherever it is applied. IF THIS MEDICINE IS USED IN YOUR MOUTH OR THROAT, it may reduce your ability to swallow. Do not eat for at least 1 hour after using this medicine. Possible Side Effects: SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include loss of feeling, burning, itching, or redness in the treated area. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience skin rash, hives, or shortness of breath. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
