How should you use Tobradex?
To apply Tobradex eye drops:
Wash your hands thoroughly. Gently pull your lower eyelid down to form a pocket between your eye and eyelid. Brace the bottle on the bridge of your nose or your forehead. Do not let the applicator tip touch your eye or any other surface. Tilt your head back and squeeze the medication into the eye. Close your eyes gently. Keep your eyes closed for 1 to 2 minutes. Do not rinse the dropper.

To apply the ointment form of Tobradex:
Tilt your head back. Place a finger on your cheek just under your eye and gently pull down until a "V" pocket is formed between your eyeball and your lower lid. Place about half an inch of Tobradex in the "V" pocket. Do not let the tip of the Tobradex tube touch the eye.
Look downward before closing your eye. --If you miss a dose...Apply Tobradex as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the one you missed and go back to your regular schedule.
